Bretagne

We had a 2 week school vacation, so the boys and I visited Bretagne to see their grandparents, Jean-Pierre and Françoise. They live right on the beach, which meant we went every morning after breakfast and spent a couple of hours there. The rest of the time was spent visit landmarks, other beaches, taking walks around the village, and, of course, eating.

I had a great time. The beaches and views were breathtaking and the food was incredible. I don't know when I'll stop being amazed by everything I see.

This point is called "The End of the Earth" because it's the most eastern point of Europe. If I swim for a really long time in that direction, I'll reach the US.

I'm the red, and at this point I'm still in the running. You take a marble and roll it to move your bike forward. There's actually a technique to rolling it so it doesn't get stuck in the sand.

For the life of me, I could not master the technique. I've fallen behind at this point. (That's Antoine way up front next to his bikes...)

Even one of my guys has decided to give up and just lay down.

Unloading the day's catch. We got to see sharks, sting rays, marlins, and lobsters bigger than Gus Gus.

We went to the beach that morning and caught our own bait for fishing.

Really disgusting sea worms that I had no idea even existed. The boys were using nets to catch them, but I got bored so I jumped in the water and caught them by hand.

I was absolutely freezing, yet somehow the boys were fine in shorts...

It was a really long day.
